Clerkenwell Design Week 2023
Clerkenwell Design Week
returned to EC1, 23-25 May
The UK’s leading design festival celebrated London’s creative hub with more than 160 showrooms, 600 events, thousands of products, installations, brand activations, topical talks and more.
We caught up with some friends and suppliers and made some great new collections. Our favourite destination is always the subterranean House of Detention, the former Victorian prison showcases an array of leading international lighting brands and spectacular stand-alone installations.

A familiar face was found; Charlotte from The Monkey Puzzle Tree. Multi award winning, English made wallpapers and fabrics with a twist and a conscience that bring art, story and character to interiors. Proud to support their local community, the Monkey Puzzle Tree collaborate with the artists from the North of England, manufacturing their innovative and luxourious designs within 100 miles of their yorkshire studio.
Their new 'Blues Fantasia' textile wall covering created in collaboration with Josephine McYebuah and was a total showstopper. A magical design, Blues Fantasia features elegant antelopes intertwined with rich gold and jewel coloured motifs. The geometric design is screen printed onto a heavy textile covered non woven paper. Art Deco meets Africa. Josephine takes influences from from her childhood spent in Ghana, to comic book art and Bollywood films, fusing her diverse influences together to create this modern statement of grandeur.
