The Design Yard by House of Jola Ltd was created through the experiences and passion of our co-founder's Joanna & Lea-Anne in interior design, retail & design heritage. They decided to put their creative heads together to produce an online retail place to sell unique and luxurious interior finds for the curious. Interior products that tell stories and take you on a journey. They aspire to offer their advice and knowledge along the way, working closely with their sister interior design company Stage Interiors. Making this a unique online experience to find something truly special for your home.
Every item and brand is sourced with a view to find stories behind them, creating heirlooms and treasures. The Design Yard works with artisans and smaller UK & European businesses and are always on the look out to find more unique products, talented makers and designers.
We are extremely passionate about sourcing products and brands that have sustainability at the forefront of their production through to the delivery. Where fairtrade has been met and the best quality of materials have been used. The Design Yard is all about less waste and buying something to keep forever and to pass down as a heirloom...buy something once to treasure. We do try and source as many Britsh businesses as part of the development to source locally and push the British Textile industry. We also package each parcel with care and consideration using recycled packing where ever possible.
The Design yard is far from a catalogue or rule book of style, and the curated collections are designed to pull together looks and uncover real gems from many sources to help you discover and develop your own story.
The aim is to inspire everyone to express themselves in their home, because we believe it's what's inside that counts.
