The Monkey Puzzle Tree collaborated with Sarah Thornton to create wallpaper, combining science and art on vintage graphic paper. Sarah explores the rigid world of science and freedom of the natural world.
Delicate birds are painted with multi-coloured squares on a white grid background to express our struggle to 'remain within the lines', reflecting our lives, not just art. This captivating design has child-like qualities which invites you to fill in the blanks.
The design is digitally printed on unique wallpaper panels to reveal exquisite pencil markings and the imperfections of the watercolours. The extra large pattern repeat makes this wallpaper perfectly suited to very large spaces such as a garden room, studio or play room.
This print sits beautifully with Sarah's other print design 'Rita Does Jazz' Velvet due to the synchronicity of the colour palettes.
For use in heavier wear areas, we recommend protecting this wallpaper with a decorator's vanish such as Polyvine Decorator's Varnish in Clear Dead Flat without altering its appearance.
