Adam Bray for Hamilton Weston Wallpaper

Brown Paper Stripe - Powder Blue

“Inspired by an interiors trend in the 1960s and 70s for manilla papered walls, we worked on creating a collection with a understated chic twist. Partnering with Hamilton Weston Wallpapers we spent a pleasurable few months playing with textures and colours and the Brown Paper Stripe collection was born.” Adam Bray

More about Adam Bray...

Adam Bray is based in London and works internationally on residential and commercial interior design projects, consulting, and antique dealing. His involvement in a project can be as simple as a conversation about transforming a single room or as involved as the full specification for a large-scale project.

His eye for colour and enjoyment of creative partnerships has been brought to bear on this collection of wallpaper for Hamilton Weston.

'We approached Hamilton Weston Wallpapers several years ago to try and source a brown paper wallpapeR, something we’d seen in design books from the 1960s, nothing was in current production so after some lengthy conversations and inspiring colour sampling we are delighted to bring you 'Brown Paper Stripe', an elegant utilitarian broad stripe originally hand painted on the manilla wrapping paper we keep on the roll in our office. The colours are also available as coordinating paint for woodwork from the brilliant Francesca's Paint so you can touch in your architraves and skirting to match your walls.'

2023 sees the launch of a collection of fitted carpets with Peter Page Carpets and a substantial collection of fabrics for Soane Britain. He writes a regular column for the ES magazine ‘Interior Motive’ about his experiences at work and advice on aspects of decorating.

‘Bray’s passion for unusual and ethnic textiles dovetails perfectly with the interests of his clients’ (The World of Interiors)
